About me
Rachel Alterman Wallack, MSW, is the founder of VOX ATL, a creative youth development organization. Growing up in Atlanta and then writing for Junior Scholastic and Business Atlanta magazines while volunteering with teenagers inspired her to unite teens from different backgrounds to create an outlet for youth voice in 1993. After serving as executive director for VOX ATL's first two decades, building a start-up nonprofit into a sustainable organization, she transitioned into developing strategic partnerships and trainings to build capacity in youth-impacting systems and groups. She has consulted with organizations and presented with youth at a variety of state and national conferences. Rachel believes fundamentally in the power of youth voice to transform people, programs and communities.
